“The LORD was standing there beside him….” (Genesis 28:13).

“For you are with me….” (Psalm 23:4).

We have no other confidence than this.

Whether we are on the cusp of life’s next adventure, a work or a calling or a commitment…

Or if we are in the midst of troubling times, with confusion and need and doubt all swirling around us…

…God is with us.

Jacob saw the LORD standing beside him, assuring the man that his life’s purpose was indeed secure in God’s hand.

David imagined Him as a shepherd, the One who both leads and goes with, even through every darkness.

You, then, can trust Him to be with you. His Spirit dwells in you. His Word speaks. He is, and He is for you. Whether you’re on the brink of the next big thing or merely on the brink, God is with you, showing you the way…and shepherding you still.
