“Iniquities overwhelm me; only you can atone for our rebellion.” (v. 3)
On this day—the day we commemorate Jesus’ atoning work on the cross—it is fitting that even the Psalms would sing of God’s sovereignty in salvation.
Though iniquities overwhelm us, He—and only He—affords us our atonement.
